Limited in your Key Account Manager role? Want to work in a global world leader in Systems and Services to the Rail industry? Where you will play a key part in the company's growth plans. Entrepreneurial, but don't have the chance to fulfil this currently? This Key Account Manager role will give you the freedom to explore exciting international markets and bring on-board new products, whilst further developing existing ones.

  • £45,000-£50,000 basic salary, company car, 10% bonus and plus benefits package

The Company:

An exciting new Key Account Manager opportunity has arisen to join a global market leading company who has recently won its record sized order and has invested in opening a new facility in London to add to their existing locations. This opportunity is to support the current growth plans in the London region, with a number of key rail clients.

Role Overview:

  • The main aim of the role is to develop and win new business and maintain existing customer accounts in the London area and to meet the order intake and sales budget for the London business of £2MGBP in 2017 increasing year on year in line with the companies 3 year strategic growth plan whilst respecting the company EBIT targets. In addition you will be responsible for other London based clients with sales of around £3MGBP PA which are sold through other UK entities
  • Regular visits to customers in the London area in line with a defined visit plan and an agreed agenda. Produce MoM from each meeting with key follow up actions
  • Submit major project financial business cases and appraisals to the UK management tender review team
  • Work with the Sales Director to generate new opportunities from Services & OE customers for London based clients

Qualifications and Experience

  • Based within a commutable distance of London. (Up to an hour of North London)
  • Experienced in selling to the railway industry. (Ideally to TFL, Hitachi and Eurostar)
  • Someone who is hungry to develop new business. Who is experienced in getting in front of customers and selling mechanical products.
  • Someone who maybe was an engineer and moved into sales.
  • Good experience of financial reporting.
  • Customer focused
  • Proven track record of sales and key account management
  • People management and long term relationship development and influencing skills


For the successful candidate the salary on offer is from £45,000 to £50,000 plus a company car, plus a 10% bonus scheme, pension and healthcare.

This is an immediate requirement where the role has been signed off and the successful candidate can start ASAP
