You will be part of Robotics. We develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. Our bases are in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden. Over 90% of our production is exported and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies - companies we call our Partners. The unit has 700 employees.

It will be your mission to drive, follow up and improve Environment work at Robotics. Your main focus will be to maintain and develop a Sustainability culture by tracking and reporting metrics, driving training programs, assuring regulatory compliance as well as managing hazards and risks. With the goal of raising awareness and commitment for Sustainability, an important part of your job will be to empower and support internal and external stakeholders, such as our managers, suppliers and customers. You will also drive improvement and share best practices across our business. You have a university degree or M.Sc. in Energy, Chemistry and/or Environment combined with at least 5 years' relevant work experience. This has given you strong expertise in environmental issues, including the chemical aspects of health and safety. In addition, you need knowledge of legislation in terms of sustainability as well as management systems ISO14001.

To succeed in this role your personality is key. You are a driven and analytical person with quality focus and strong initiative. It is crucial that you have the ability to establish credibility among internal and external stakeholders - engaging other people in these issues. Therefore, strong collaboration and communication skills are an absolute necessity. And of course, since we are a global company, fluency in English is a must, written and spoken alike.
