Data Center Mechanical Engineer-Portland, OR
The challenge? CH2M is seeking a mechanical engineer as a strategic hire to support and lead the data center market of the Energy and Industrial Business Unit
CH2M is a large, fully integrated AE firm supporting clients with a broad array of highly skilled and distinguished professionals around the world. You should be a self-motivated, registered Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in delivering mission critical data center or advanced facility design projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience in business development of proposal writing and client presentations to win work.
Our Mechanical Engineering Data Center Professionals:
•Perform as the Lead Engineer for small to large projects taking projects to completion.
•Work closely with all engineering disciplines to develop coordinated, cost effective and well planned infrastructure.
•Prepare presentations to communicate client centered solutions and progress of work.
•Find resolutions to infrastructure conflicts, code challenges, cost and energy efficiency challenges.
•Oversee and manage the mechanical systems design for projects through design development, construction documents, bidding, construction administration and commissioning phases of project.
•Perform mechanical quality assurance design reviews of project documents at each stage of the project and for all deliverables issued by the team.
•Mentor junior engineering and design staff in general and specifically for the mission critical market.
•Manage the financial aspects of project and support the project manager to achieve success.
•Perform Project Management roles on some early project studies such as Facility Assessments.
•Recognize cultural sensitivities with clients from other parts of the world.
•Support business development activities for sales in the mission critical and data center marketplace.
•Attend conferences and seek presentation opportunities or preparation of white papers.
