Department Overview

PG&E's Transportation Services team is responsible for operating and managing one of the largest commercial fleets in the U.S. PG&E has pioneered efficient and sustainable green transportation technologies as part of our commitment to provide safe, reliable and affordable gas and electric service. PG&E's industry leading green fleet includes a range of electric vehicle technologies-from hybrid electric bucket trucks to extended range pickups. Transportation Services is nationally recognized as a leader in green fleet technology.

Transportation & Aviation Services department is responsible for managing all aspects of PG&E's vehicles & equipment fleet, from design to disposition. The team is comprised multiple operating departments including Engineering, Field Operations, Aircraft & Helicopter Operations, DOT, Business Application Support and Strategy.
Transportation & Aviation Services is responsible for company-wide management of over 14,000 vehicles & equipment, regulatory compliance, capital planning, clean air and alternate fuel initiatives, project support, fleet systems administration and client facing reporting/analysis.

Strategy & Analytics is responsible for managing the following cross-functional processes including:

•Project Management
•Operational & Financial Analysis
•Metric & Performance Reporting
•Long-Term Strategic Planning & Integrated Planning
•Line of Business / Client Facing Reporting & Analytics
•Reporting Development
•Systems Application Support, Auditing, Training, Troubleshooting
•Application Development, Systems Implementation, & UAT


Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, -Engineering or
related discipline or equivalent work experience.
-5 years total relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications
- 5 years of direct management experience
- 3 years project management experience
- 3 years IT/Systems administration experience
- Green Belt or higher Lean Six Sigma Training and or PMP Certification
- Demonstrated experience building, developing and leading high performing teams
- Understanding of utility/energy industry dynamics, trends and issues, including rate and legislative/regulatory matters and business drivers.
- Business acumen and knowledge of business processes/operations.
- Influencing skills.
- Analytical problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Knowledge of data analysis and modeling concepts, methods, techniques and best practices to create complex data models.
- Solid communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively develop relationships with staff, clients and various levels of leadership.
- Proficiency in applicable data analysis tools

Leads and coordinates day to day activities of a team performing some or all of the following:
- Data Analysis: Data gathering, compiling and analyzing data. May develop and/or maintain data models for what-if analysis and for other business purposes.
- Metrics and Reporting such as tracking business metrics, maintaining standards and preparing custom ad-hoc reports.
- Responsible for leading annual Strategic Integrated Planning (S1/S2/SC/SD) and department benchmarking
- Responsible for managing the execution of annual training program and parts & inventory management.
- May perform quality assurance and business process improvement activities.
- Responsible for the administration and compliance of all fleet information systems and applications, including system application specifications, UAT management, developing SOPs, approval of access rights and privileges to create tables and SharePoint administration rights
- Plans and delegates staff assignments. Ensures process efficiencies and consistency in reporting methods and output. Communicates analytics and reporting process and standards to staff.
- Serves as single point of contact and lead project manager for Transportation Services Strategic Project Portfolio which consists of 7-10 enterprise level projects typically at the Manager to Sr. Director level. Leads and/or partners with direct reports to manage projects, establish scope, budget, timeframes, forms teams and assigns tasks
-- Directs team in completing reports and analysis. Reviews and considers implications of findings and presents to Manager or other internal clients.
- Develops and presents process and/or reporting methodology improvements to Manager.
- May partner with department peers to ensure necessary data or business intelligence reports are available for staff.
Communicates user needs to data warehousing/ personnel regarding standard reports and data extracts/sources.
