Provide Wind Tunnel Systems support for the Jacobs ATOM Group at NASA Ames Research Center in the Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel facility. Install and maintain instrumentation used in wind tunnel testing including pressure, temperature, force, angle, and motion measurements. Provides technical support on customer developed wind tunnel test articles. Requires ability to perform electronic assembly including soldering, composition of prototype circuits, cables, taper pin, and other instrument connections. Experience with strain gauges, static and dynamic pressure transducers, accelerometers, signal amplifiers, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and instrument metrology. Requires the skills to understand wiring schematics, knowledge of control systems and relay logic circuits. Requires Safety Training, work in confined spaces and elevated platforms, and shift work including Day, Swing and Grave shifts. This candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

A minimum of two years of experience in technical instrumentation. Equivalent experience in advanced electronics or other fields pertinent to the position may be substituted. Background/interest/experience are highly desirable in aeronautics, instrumentation, data systems and wind tunnels.
