We are currently recruiting for a SAP BASIS Senior Developer to join RWE npowers SAP Competency Centre on a full time basis in Leeds or Rainton This is a fantastic opportunity to join npower as we transform our business. In this role you will have accountability for the build, deployment, management and continual improvements to SAP BASIS across the entire SAP estate.

Role description

Responsibility for the management of junior SAP Basis development resources

Accountability for leading the system development activities relating to SAP Basis changes and enhancements within the SAP Competency Centre

Leadership in the diagnosis of Basis issues which will including leading Root Cause Analysis

Engagement with the appropriate technical teams during the resolution issues; ensuring that stakeholders are fully updated during the process

Use of Real Time system monitoring to mitigate adverse performance

Accountable for the quality assurance of SAP Basis development activities being delivered by RWE UKs third parties

Delivery of a best practice SAP Basis development framework

Delivery of a Basis quality management framework including development of associated KPIs

Leading development within major programmes of work to ensure that resources and capabilities are in place to deliver the Basis development activities

Responsible for developing a resource management strategy to ensure that the supply of Basis development skills meets demand

What we are looking for - Qualifications & Experience

Experienced Basis lead for SAP, having implemented major Basis changes

Very strong experience of managing installations of SAP ECC, SAP HANA and Solution Manager. Significant project delivery experience in the following areas: SAP Basis and SAP ECC implementations

Very strong Basis problem resolution skills

Strong people management and people development experience and skills

Strong supplier relationship management experience and skills, including planning and delivering continual improvements

Significant exposure to the use of Solution Manager

Demonstrable hands on exposure to SAP GUI administration

Excellent understanding and application of the SAP development lifecycle

Strong experience in data volume management and growth

Very strong experience in system performance management and diagnosis

Effective senior business stakeholder management skills

Very strong analytical and problem solving skills

Experience of Multi Channel Foundation (MCF)

Knowledge of Agile and its application to a SAP Competency Centre

Excellent team player ability to be able to lead relationships across the senior developer community

Good working knowledge of ITIL processes, ITIL process management and their application to a competency centre

Excellent communication skills

Degree educated
