The purpose of this role to drive and sustain Practice Engagement. The Senior manager is able to craft strategies for practice development from design until implementation. Key responsibilities include the design, development and delivery of Corporate events and other company wide learning interventions.The Senior Manager is a Trusted Advisor that can work with all levels of leadership across the Company including the C-suite. He/she builds strong networks across the practice and nurtures productive relationships with Jacob's Employee Networks.

Program Management
  • Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, organization development, change management, diversity and inclusion and complex employee issues in order to strengthen overall company engagement.
  • Foster a climate of strong accountability, responsibility, ownership and results orientation.
  • Develop and deliver Corporate events that are part of an integrated talent management approach supporting the business strategy and developing strong and inspirational leaders.
  • Craft and facilitate global virtual programs and selected learning interventions targeted to (senior) managers and Employee Networks across different functions and LOB's within Jacobs.
  • Ensures content, tools and programs are founded on world instructional design practices, Practice management approaches and are aligned with the organizational development and culture approach.
  • Performs learning analysis and provides performance consulting advice to all levels within the organization.
  • Collaborates with L&D and the Talent Management COE team members and other stakeholders to refresh the vision, focus, pitch and brand of leadership and employee development programs and services.
  • Consult and collaborate with senior leaders, COE resources, Regional L&D Leads, senior HR Business Partners to ensure strong employee development program implementation.
  • Role model/ mentor for junior / less experienced team members.
  • Practice global / local and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Able to motivate/ engage/ lead both in a virtual and f2f environment across different geographies
  • Partner successfully to align practice development programs with broader organizational goals.
  • Experience collaborating with High level Executives and Subject Matter Experts to design, develop and deliver programs.
  • Obtain feedback and evaluate programs and practice continuous improvement efforts to ensure programs contribute to developing, engaging and retaining employees.

  • Ensure practice development initiatives align with and complement messaging around employer brand, global communications, and campaigns.
  • Enthusiastic Change manager and advisor. Leads by example and sponsors self directed and innovative ways of learning and practice development.
  • Identify and leverage vendor relationships as needed to deliver content. Effectively manage ongoing vendor partnerships and contracts.
  • Implement and comply with procedures related to vendor/consultant selection decisions
  • Define and manage budgets and resource allocations and monitor performance against them


  • A 4 year degree in a related field with a Master's strong preferred
  • 10-15 years of experience in the areas of talent management, leadership development, organizational development, and training design. Demonstrate strong business acumen in the demonstration of Talent and Development application tools.
  • Outstanding follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail required.
  • Proven expertise with the design, development, implementation and measurement of large-scale talent, leadership, and/or engagement practices.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent analytical, planning, and process development skills, strong business judgment, and a high level of initiative.
  • Must be fully proficient in change management strategy and execution for large-scale change initiatives.
  • Strong experience conducting assessments and using that data to inform decision-making, and ultimately results for the business.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, build effective working relationships with employees bank-wide, and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to deliver results in a hybrid centralized / decentralized L&D model and a matrix, relationship based organization
  • Broad knowledge and experience across a range of technology based learning platforms including learning management systems, social networking, e learning etc.
  • Proven success collaborating, partnering and influencing stakeholders at all levels - including C level- across diverse geographies.
  • Passionate for people & leadership development, nimble learner.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, strong client orientation, strong team collaboration skills, excellent interpersonal and listening skills, effective communication skills (verbal and written), proven experience in project management.
  • Solution-oriented with strong interpersonal, influencing, communication, presentation, facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in change leadership and management
  • Can Do attitude: Ability to navigate organizational boundaries and drive progress with moderate supervision.

    Candidates must be in the Dallas Metroplex or prepared to relocate at their own expense as relocation is not available for this position.
