Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to generate business, develop sites through to financial close and carry out supplementary tasks to ensure that the Business Development team reach their set targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Ireland Business Development team
  • To work on the development of the pipeline of own developed and introduced sites
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Develop strong external relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Irish solar industry
  • Improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Oversee PR, lobbying and marketing activities
  • Develop strong working relationships with project funders

Key Requirements:

  • Technical understanding of solar farm development and construction
  • Understanding of commercial activities including funding arrangements and legals
  • Experience in private and public sector
  • Valid driving licence
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project development and/or management, ideally Solar
  • Track record of B2C and B2B engagement
  • First-hand experience using financial models to present a project financing case to a funder
  • Developing and managing work projects, deadlines and task-related resources
