Electrical Technical Expert (Oil & Gas) - Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
As an Electrical Technical Expert you will: Review and provide comments to draft design basis scoping papers (DBSPs). Monitor the progress of the design contractor and all drawings/ documents being developed are in line with the project scope and applicable standards. Ensure that all technical review comments applicable to their respective disciplines are incorporated in the design package. Identify the areas of improvement of the design contractor and articulate an action plan with the involvement of both the project engineer and the design contractor representative. Mentor and train client's junior engineers for their effective integration. Participate in design development reviews such as value engineering, HAZOP, 3D Model, among others. Participate in vendor drawing reviews and assist in resolving technical issues raised during the equipment or system FAT/ SAT testing. Contribute in the review of new/revised client engineering standards.
Degree Qualified Electrical Engineer with at least 15 years of experience in Major O&G Projects of which last 10 years in Conceptual Design, FEED and Detailed Engineering of Oil /Gas/ Petrochemicals Processing facilities.
Strong knowledge of Scope Review, FEED endorsement; Equipment selection report, Design Calculations, International Codes & Standards such as: Electrical Safety, Electrical Codes, Fire Protection, etc.
Must have a proven track record as a lead design engineer on large scale Oil and Gas projects and be capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, designers and support personnel.
Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with other engineering disciplines, project managers, vendors and clients.
