  • Integration of distributed energy assets monitoring & control capabilities into E.ON's Energy Solutions Systems or Platforms, support development and management of Big Data, Internet-of-Things and Cloud Computing technologies and services
  • Develop, perform and facilitate integration of distributed energy assets via APIs, protocols and interfaces to services that rely on the Energy Solutions Systems or Platforms
  • Identification and tracking of trends for Big Data, Internet-of-Things and Cloud Computing technologies and services for the energy sector
  • Understanding and experience of multiple data acquisition, control, disaggregation, visualization, analysis and analytics tools and services, consulting of partners
  • Cross-border cooperation with E.ON internal partners and other entities for the integration of distributed energy assets in demonstration projects
  • Strong commitment to detailed documentation
  • Maintain a network with manufacturers, universities and other research institutions to develop innovative system concepts and designs
  • Communication of information obtained through analysis, models and previous projects and knowledge across our Group to help develop new business and partnerships

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with Software and System Solutions Development background or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience working with: data acquision & control, visualization, Linux, Java, Python, database technologies for big data applications, IoT, interfaces, protocols, APIs, MS Azure, Apache Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Storm, Kafka
  • Several years of practical experience in development and integration of complex software systems with experience in agile development processes (e.g. SCRUM)
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and excellent communication skills as well as strong team orientation
  • Enthusiasm for the development of asset integration concepts for data acquision and control purposes in a big data infrastructure and cloud environment
  • High level of motivation, self-organization, self-drive, commitment, flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary, international team in multiple locations
  • Fluent in German and English, in speech and writing
  • Readiness for opportunities inside Germany, UK and other locations in E.ON's footprint
