Primary Job Functions:
Basic Job Functions:
Explore the best methods to deliver product expeditiously, economically, and in compliance to international Import/Export rules, and world custom regulations, compliance, facilitate the movement of inbound and outbound material, coordinate the import and export functions, planning shipping, receiving and Material Handler headcount are available to execute daily workload via work assignments and personnel allocation.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
• Assist in developing Standard Work Procedures for Logistics function.
• Responsible for the resulting inventory and data entry reports, and their accuracy.
• Ensure inventory and data entry is accurate to ensure compliance to First Solar guideline and meeting customer requirement
• Validate current inventory levels and resolve discrepancy through system troubleshoot to ensure all finished goods allocation is correct based on plant inventory
• Communicate closely with Finished Good Global Planning, customer service team to ensure customer order is met.
• Perform headcount planning based on Finished Good load out and schedule to ensure the manpower support is adequate.
• Check, validate and coordinate all shipping documents and transit are meeting international trade compliance and import/export activities
• Ensure all importation for machinery, equipment, components, raw material directly used in manufacturing process are covered under LMW Tax Exemption (Compliance)
• Establish proper reporting process, filing, meeting Royal Malaysian Custom Department LMW requirement, compliance and audit (compliance)
• Ensure all LMW weekly, monthly record being update, submit per RMCD guideline and ensure LMW renewal being submit 2 months prior the expiry date
• Provide solutions for the best logistics options for different product categories to ensure cost and time effectiveness.
• Develop, maintain metrics to monitor incumbent performance and establish monthly, quarterly business reviews to further improve incumbent and department business process.
• Has good communication skill and posses own transport to travel and deal with RMCD on regular basis (competency)
• Ensure workplace health and safety requirement are met
Experience:
• At least five (5) years experience in purchasing and managing logistics services, including at least 3 years experience in international logistics.
• Demonstrated experience in logistics supplier management and relationships.
Education:
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Transportation or Business related field.
Required Skills:
• Well verse in Royal Malaysian Custom Act 1967
• Knowledge of logistics, INCO Terms, conditions, providers, including international solutions, situations
• Management of subordinates
• Proven developmental and training skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Fluent in European or Asian language preferred
