  • Perform structural dynamic analyses in support of the design and design verification of space flight vehicle systems.
  • Analyze complex features of the work and apply principles and practices of structural analysis, or devise new approaches in problem solutions.
  • Review all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.
  • Follow existing processes and procedures and recommended process improvements where appropriate.

Skills and experience should demonstrate:

  • Experience developing response estimates for structures excited by acoustics, vibrations, and dynamics of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element based methods is required.
  • Familiarity with space flight vehicles is desired including the measurement and use of flight and ground test data.
  • Experience specifying requirements for acoustic, random vibration, shock, and dynamic testing, as well as experience with data analysis and signal processing is desired.
  • Familiarity with vibration and noise control design approaches will be a plus for consideration.
  • Experience with the application of the finite element method to perform random vibration, coupled loads, and vibroacoustic analysis is very desirable.
