Position Summary
Responsible for working with Senior Executives and Senior Management to ensure operating companies overall business plan and long-term strategy development is aligned with all organizational processes, systems, and structures. Coordinates with existing planning groups and tools to develop the business plans consistently throughout the organization.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Facilitates the development of operating company long-range asset planning and strategy. Supports operating company asset and business plan development, development of placemat goals and implementation and measurement of strategic and tactical plans. Establishes and oversees processes to ensure the execution of strategic plans and the ongoing validity of strategic assumptions and strategy effectiveness.
  • Supports the gathering of financial, operating and strategic data to support investment opportunities for all operating companies. Seeks to align internal planning tools to develop a consistent set of assumptions and alignment of outputs. Ensure investment opportunities align with company financial goals. Facilitates executive processes to establish asset and business plans. Links operating jurisdictional utilities objectives with functional business areas to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of plans. Ensure that sufficient means are in place to achieve operating company targets. Directs the analysis and scenario planning process that supports the operating company CEOs in asset and business plans development.
  • Oversees and directs operating company financial pro-forma plans, ensures alignment of process and technology with overall business strategy, organizational structure, and management systems.
  • Facilitates strategic discussions, monitoring and reporting with Senior Executives and Senior Management. Develops appropriate cross-functional teams and relationship partnering with internal and external resources not reporting directly to this position to support a collaborative asset and business planning process.
  • Provides effective daily management of staff. Effectively attract, recruit, select and retain employees. Manage employee performance through goal setting, feedback, and recognition. Communicate corporate and business area visions, business plans and key objectives. Establish and communicate clear performance expectations. Foster a culture that supports and drives employee development.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 10 years related experience including, at least 7 years in a utility, energy, or equivalent business leadership/strategy position.
  • Experience in electric, gas or other public utility distribution preferred;
  • Bachelor's degree with MBA preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in business or related field.

This position requires a behavioral assessment prior to being considered for an interview.
