Job Description:

Qualifies for Technician (multi-media) II and proven intermediate competence in Adobe Photoshop (building/modifying actions, use of channel masks, color correction), Adobe Illustrator (or CorelDraw or Fireworks) (formatting type, use of masks, integration with Flash, applying filters), FinalCut Pro or similar (color correction, keying and compositing, DVD Studio Pro integration, basic compression principles), Adobe Dreamweaver or similar (integration of external style sheets, use of behaviors, web site management and synchronization tools). Basic skills in interactive authoring applications (Adobe Director, Flash, Flex or similar), web scripting (html, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript, XML or similar) and a basic understanding of video and audio file formats (.mov, .mpg, .wmv, .wav, .mp3, etc.). Independently manages complex Powerpoint presentations and graphic creates based on general guidance from customer or supervisor. Creates and modifies graphic images representing existing objects or abstract concepts for output to various media (print, on-screen, video, etc.) based on general guidance from customer or supervisor. Responsible for output and optimization of digital graphics, video and audio in appropriate formats for final product, with supervisor oversight. Compiles creative and technical video projects that incorporate music, sound effects, narration, and multiple video layers and graphics to create a video that presents a concept or emotion in abstract visuals using industry standard software (FinalCut Pro/Compressor). Author simple disc and web based applications interactive applications, including scripting using applications such as Adobe Director, Flash, Flex, Authorware, DVD Studio Pro, based on specific guidance from customer or supervisor. Intermediate web site management and maintenance, including basic scripting (html, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript, XML or similar), as part of a collaborative web team. Works as member of a collaborative team to integrate many types of data assets, including video, 3D elements, animations and spreadsheets, into interactive disc and web based applications and videos. May assist in the creation and animation of 3D models or edit existing models or animations under the guidance of supervisors or senior 3D developers.

3 yrs. applicable experience; or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate's Degree and 1 yr. applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 2 yrs. applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 1 yr. applicable experience.

Essential Functions Form:


Requires sitting at a computer for an extended amount of time (up to 85%) The ability to bend/stoop, squat, crawl, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull and climb into or under a vehicle is required (up to 15%). Walking a minimum of 50 yards over rough terrain is required (up to 15%). Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (up to 15%).


Work environment may be inside or outside depending on the task. The ability to work in outside field conditions that include hot and cold extreme temperatures and other outdoor climatic conditions is required (up to 15%). Must be able to work in areas where only portable restroom facilities are available (up to 15%). Work environment may be fast-paced and require work under pressure to meet deadlines associated with the completion of a task. Position will require multiple task efforts.


Graphics, Video Imaging and Web Development requires the use of software such as Final Cut Pro or equivalent, DreamWeaver, Java, Flash, Flex, Adobe Suite, Adobe After Effects, Acrobat, QuickTime, Motion and 3D modeling software or similar programs. Operates peripherals such as video recorders, external hard drives, compact flash cards, scanners, printers, and related equipment. Also operates compact disc duplicators, label makers and color laser printers in the assembly and production of the final product. Use of copiers (up to 10%), printer (up to 20%), and computer (up to 85%). The ability to work around moving machinery/equipment is required.


Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required with as little as one-hour advance notice.


Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance in order to gain access to required areas, networks and systems within thirty (30) days of date of your offer letter. Must be able to obtain and retain a secret security clearance. Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain and retain unescorted access to work areas. May be subject to other physicals or exams if required to wear a respirator or are designated by the COR to have other physicals due to the work area in which you are assigned. May be subject to exposure to noise and vibration. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required. Must have a valid driver's license and personal transportation for the purpose of moving around the proving ground to accomplish job functions and in order to operate a rental vehicle if and when travel is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license within 30 days of employment.
