Jacobs seeks a Workplace Strategist/Change Management lead to join its National Workplace Strategies team with focus on creating new ways of working for private sector and government sector clients as well as leading clients through the workplace change process. The candidate will be based in the DC Metro area though the role will require work across the region and nationally as the projects require. The selected candidate will participate in a high energy, collaborative team and project environment.


• Experienced in leading group facilitation and employee engagement processes.

• Experienced in strategic scenario planning with an understanding of traditional programming, housing studies and test fits

• Experienced in conducting employee surveys, culture and work process exploration to create new workplace strategy for client.

• Leads the change management process for clients developing workplace communications road maps, timelines and processes

• Collaborates with Jacob's design professionals to ensure that strategy can be implemented successfully and in accordance with project expectations

• Works with other team members and the client to develop strategies for new ways of working that align with the client's mission, vision and key business drivers

• Represents the Workplace practice as the lead contact for client interaction

• Facilitates client decision making and leads them through critical challenges.

• Serves as the main facilitator in all client engagement meetings during client meetings and presentations

• Conducts industry research, benchmarking and translates the results into valuable information that enables clients to make informed decisions

• Assists with financial management of all assigned projects

• Represent the Jacobs Workplace Team at national conferences, public speaking engagements, participation in corporate real estate associations.

• Assist Workplace team with business development and proposal preparation both in the DC Metro Region as well as nationally.
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related design field OR Bachelor's degree in Business/Organizational Dynamics. Graduate degree preferred.

• At least 12 years of Workplace Design, Strategic Planning, Programming and Change Management experience in both the private sector and federal government.

• Professional registration preferred

• Prosci Change Management certification preferred

• Experienced in finding solutions to complex real estate problems

• Ability to independently prioritize and concurrently service multiple clients and projects

• Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees

• Interacts well with Workplace team members and other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive, long term relationships

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead conversations and create stakeholder engagement with clients and colleagues across an organizational hierarchy as well as a willingness to travel as projects require.
