We are seeking individuals to support the expansion of our Geospatial expertise within the UK Geomatics business. We require an Assistant Utility Surveyor to work with our Surveyors in carrying out Underground Utility Surveys for various engineering projects in the market sectors of Airports, Highways, Railways, Environmental and Industrial Manufacture and Development.
Responsibilities associated with this post will include:
Liaison with other members of the Geomatics team to enable work to be delivered to time, budget and quality.
Communication of project related issues to the relevant Senior Utility Surveyor and Geomatics Project Manager.
Assistance in the production of survey drawings and reports.
Assistance in the production of Method Statements and Risk Assessments and Safe Plan of Actions.
A minimum of GCSE grade A-C in Mathematics and English.
A desire to develop your career by learning on the job, in a practical, outdoor, team environment.
Strong personal management and timekeeping skills.
You will need to have a full UK driving licence as the role will involve travel to site locations.
Enthusiasm and Flexibility are required and you must be prepared to spend time on site away from the regional office.
A/AS Level (or equivalent) qualifications in Mathematics and Geography.
Relevant work experience in an outdoor, site based environment.
Land Surveying or Underground Utility Surveying experience.
Experience with operating and interpreting digital outputs from various Utility Mapping instruments including the IDS Duo series and Radio Detection.
