About the opportunity

We are growing our power business in New Zealand and our local team excels in providing innovative electrical design solutions for our clients and we are actively seeking a Senior Transmission Secondary (Protection) Engineer, based in either our Auckland or Wellington office. Your role will be to augment and further develop our existing capability to meet current opportunities that exist within NZ's national power and industrial sector and to further support our Asia Pacific Power business.

You will have the opportunity to help grow our Power business with our local and International clients.

About you

As a senior professional, you will be provided with the opportunity to lead, manage and expand our power and industrial business, particularly in the field of Transmission Substation and Line Protection. To excel in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree and accredited with Institute of Professional Engineers NZ.
  • Proven expertise in design and design management.
  • Be a strategic thinker and have professional communication skills that influence outcomes and clients alike.
  • Effective people leadership and project delivery capability.
  • Strong range of broad technical competency as well as expertise in power systems protection and secondary systems.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, responsive attitude, professional rigour and ability to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget and program.
