Jacobs Cyber Security Group is a cyber security engineering and analysis arm of Jacobs Engineering company.

The Java Software Developer will:
  • Review and test software components for adherence to the requirements and document test results.
  • Resolve software problem reports.
  • Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
  • Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.


Minimum Requirements:

Typically has a BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific or engineering discipline and five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience, or an MS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline and four (4) to six (6) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline and zero (0) to three (3) years of related engineering experience. Required Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI FS poly
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related field
  • Five (5) years of experience with a variety of Java Script libraries
  • Five (5) years of experience with JMS
  • Experience deploying to Tomcat/Apache
  • Experience performing file manipulation using XML/XSLT
  • Experience working with PKI
  • Experience working with classified systems
  • Work individually or as part of a team

Sitting at a desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. May require lifting and carrying supplies. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Attendance:
Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. If hired for a full-time position, it is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).

Other Essential Functions:
Must be able to obtain/maintain clearances as required for the position. Must be able to access customer work location. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance - dress is typically business casual, but is dependent on the client's standards.
