This is an ADI position supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) contract with Jacobs ISG.

The Training Specialist Lead will provide on-site support for F-35 users in Crystal City and remote locations. The selected candidate will oversee establishing training needs, development of training goals and objectives, and development of training programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and deliver standard training courses designed to further the knowledge of F-35 users in the various tools used to achieve mission objectives
  • Identify and measure key performance indicators (KPIs), Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and will develop and track metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficacy of the designed training programs
  • Conduct training classes for custom software applications, and for specialized technical software used for the design of the F-35 aircraft
  • Oversee the design, build, and delivery of computer or web-based training programs for F-35 users
  • Develop surveys or other means to track user satisfaction with the training material presented
  • Design and delivery of standard training material necessary to advance user's knowledge of F-35 software tools
  • Prioritize and oversee activities of Training Specialists
  • Design and delivery of training in-person training classes
  • Collaborate with Government personnel to understand upcoming training needs not currently covered
  • Ensure training material (manuals, presentations, etc.) are accurate and up-to-date
  • Identifying KPIs and CSFs for F-35 training requirements
  • Evaluating effectiveness and efficacy of training materials by conducting periodic user surveys
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be required


The selected candidate should have:

  • Proven experience in establishing training needs, developing training goals and objectives, and providing metrics to prove training effectiveness and efficiency
  • Experience in producing class and computer and web-based training materials
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including SharePoint, Project, Visio, and Access


This position requires a Bachelors degree with 10 years of experience in a relevant technical discipline, or a total of 14 years of related experience. An IAT Level II certification is required. This may include any one of the following: Security+CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP.

The minimum of an active interim Secret or Secret level DoD security clearance is required.

Travel to other JSF sites is required and estimated at 25%.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Work Environment

Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Equipment and Machines

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.

Attendance

Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).

Other Essential Functions

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain and retain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
