Jacobs is the lead contractor providing EPCM services for the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project. This contract is worth $2.8b of surface and infrastructure works and will see us leading the way for over 6 years to deliver this project successfully and safely. We are now seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to join our team.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and based at Oyu Tolgoi Mine, Mongolia, we are looking for personnel who can commence as soon as possible. The roster for this role is 4 weeks on site, 2 weeks off site. It is a requirement of this role that the successful candidate is a Mongolian Resident

Knowledge and Responsibilities include:

  • Interpretation of employment and industrial legislation
  • Support the Project Leadaership team on HR / ER and IR issues
  • Assist to develop appropriate strategies for the success of the project
  • Supprt the Management team in effective leadership of their staff
  • Project reporting
  • Ability to produce and interpret ER / IR policies and procedures
  • Assist with research and investigations relating to ER/IR incidents on the project
  • Implement and update HR / ER / IR policies as appropriate


To be successful in this role, you will be able to understand English and Mongolian languages - both written and verbal at a high level.
