Position Summary

This position is embedded with the client in New Orleans. Primary deliverable is a comprehensive space plan for multiple facilities and multiple locations in the greater NOLA vicinity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop client space plans in multiple locations, including resources required, schedule milestones to track progress and client reports to inform client of status

• Assist with development and application of a consistent and standardized approach to defining and solving healthcare space planning issues at client sites

• Participate in healthcare facility administration meetings concerning functional planning, development of healthcare master plans and functional space plans for major healthcare projects

• Serve as a contributor/leader during stakeholder or department meetings and presentations to define functional planning criteria and record room-specific data

• Create new or revise existing space planning procedures as required to meet industry standards for healthcare space planning function

• Resolve project conflicts, issues or problems at team level

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field required. Facilities management or real estate experience preferred, minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare planning projects with a minimum of 5 years involving direct client contact

• Demonstrable knowledge of the functional and spatial organization of various healthcare departments and services

• Demonstrable experience in the development of Facility Master Plans, including BOMA standard measurements, defined adjacencies and projected growth

• Excellent communication including appropriate use of verbal, written and graphic tools

• Experience in dealing with a wide range of internal stakeholders

• Be experienced in the preparation of reports using software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD; knowledge of other documentation and presentation software a plus

• Consistently high level of accuracy in work product and attention to detail

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• LEED accreditation preferred; EDAC certification a plus
