CH2M are still hiring! Apply your Commercial Management skills on one the region's most prestigious projects. CH2M have partnered up to form a joint venture that is leading all real estate and construction delivery related Programme management services for a major exhibition.

It will be the first time that such an exhibition will be hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region and it is expected to be a significant catalyst for growth for business across wider region.
As the Programme gains momentum and new projects begin their life cycle, the Management team are now seeking to appoint a number of Commercial Managers to work directly at project level to provide Project and Programme Directors with cost and contract management and guidance on financial performance from initial pursuit to project closeout.
Some of the key areas of Commercial responsibility will be to:-
  • Prepare and review detailed cost estimates during the design stages
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance and ensure relevant cost provisions, risks and opportunities are reflected in project forecasts. Utilize analytic and quantitative decision analysis tools and techniques to infer/quantify/ estimate financial implications of risk and alternative reward and trade-off decisions
  • Prepare and review cost models and assumptions to ensure consistency with requirements of Tender and/or contract
  • Structure, manage, review and negotiate viable business deals, change orders, and contract extensions, capture opportunities and/or manage contract issues and disputes
  • Prepare and manage payment recommendations in accordance with relevant contract provisions
  • Reviews contract and amendments for accuracy and compliance with company contract, risk management and pricing policies
  • Provides contract guidance and negotiation skills to procurement and contract staff and delivery leadership on Consultants, Main Contract and subcontract procurement.
  • Engages with project controls to monitor schedule, Earned Value and liquidated damages for contracts

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
As a suitable candidate you will be degree qualified, ideally in Quantity Surveying or in a Construction related discipline. RICS Qualifications are essential.
To be eligible for one of the positions you will have at least 8,12 or 15 years of experience, some of which must be working in a Consultative environment and working on major construction development projects.
You will be coming with strong contract negotiating skills, claims and settlements, with a sound understanding of project accounting principles, project reviews, estimating, risk assessment and integrated Project Management.

Experience of working with the Middle East is highly desirable.
