Vestas Global Service - Supply Chain Operations (SCO) is responsible for delivering a world class spare parts delivery service to our wind turbine Service business units through an extensive supply chain network and global warehouse footprint. The Regional Operations & Warehousing Latam, Manager is responsible for running warehousing operations within Latin America, including both Vestas' and 3rd party warehouses. This position must ensure a safe operating environment and establish a strong safety culture to ensure no recordable injuries. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining a high performing team within a complex and challenging environment.
The role will report to the Head of SCO Southern EMEA & Latam.

  • Manage team ensuring safety is first priority.
  • Implement and manage a network of 10 warehouses located across Latin America.
  • Monitor performance of 3rd Party warehousing
  • Ensure the warehouse operations is effective, productive and lean
  • Establish and keep operational budget including direct cost and investments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy high and non-quality low.
  • Continuously evaluate risks to delivery, develop & implement mitigation plans
  • Report current performance and improvement initiatives to executive management and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure best practice sharing and continuous improvement within the region
  • Understand and translate company strategic targets and initiatives into daily work and employee performance objectives aiming at improving customer satisfaction, delivery performance and reducing cost.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on the warehouse delivery and operational performance of the Latam SCO unit based on the requirements in the business rules and operating level agreements.
  • Maintain periodic and formal governance with all required stakeholders to ensure a regular update of important activities, initiatives and daily management board KPIs
    Initiate and drive improvement plans to correct operational performance deviations towards specific KPI targets
  • Set and drive local Daily Management Boards and business rules alignment; drive and support performance follow-up

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical
  • Engineering preferred
  • 5-7 yrs. experience in warehouse management
  • Experience implementing and maintaining daily management
  • Proficient at using analytical tools such as Excel/Access
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • 3 yrs. Using SAP in a warehouse environment (preferred to have multiple ERP experience)
  • Effective use of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to Lead, Coach & Develop team
  • Excellent communication skills, team player, highly motivated self-starter, and can build relationships
  • Cross cultural insight and understanding
  • Open-minded and able to work in a team either as a team leader or team member and to arrange group work
  • Ability to establish cross functional relationships, decision making and matrix organizations
  • Proven ability to achieve high level results through continuous improvement methodology
  • Goal-oriented individual with a strong drive, who thrives on taking on responsibility and achieving results as part of a team
  • Proficient in Project Management software is a plus
  • Proficient communication in Spanish and English (written and orally). Portuguese is a plus.

Primary work location is Mexico City, Mexico.
Travel is expected less than 25% of the time
