This position performs a variety of engineering and project management support in the initial planning and design phase of the project, including supporting areas such as requirements capture and management, change management, design review management and general technical support. The incumbent has basic knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and processes in a subject area or discipline sufficient to have a broad understanding of the design and construction process.

The position provides support to project managers and engineering managers in the delivery of the project. This includes the capturing and reporting of data, assistance with preparation of technical documents and reports, planning and coordination of meetings and other similar project management activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
The incumbent performs their role independently, uses judgment based on experience to evaluate situations & develop solutions, and works independently to achieve assignment outcomes.
This position manages its own workload and may delegate assignments to other administrative staff or team members. This position provides a project induction to new team members. The position will be based in the client's offices along with other members of the CH2M team

This position is a 6 month contract with possible extension 

  • Under close supervision, the individual performs the routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles
  • Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of engineering assignments
  • Supports a project director or project manager in collection/distribution of data, communications, coordination of meetings and materials, tracking financials, or preparation of reports associated with a project
  • Assists with monthly project status reporting and invoice preparation
  • Coordinates updating and maintenance of project lists and databases
  • Liaison with client staff on a daily basis to support successful delivery of the project

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • BS or MS graduate of an engineering discipline.
  • 0 to 2 years' experience within an Engineering Graduate/Intern Role
  • 2 or more years of project related support experience is preferred

The position is based primarily at the clients offices, but there may be some limited need to travel to the CH2M offices
