CH2M is setting new ambitious goals to position the company to succeed further and thrive over the long term. As part of one of the goals we aim to build a strong highways team within our Kraków office to undertake local projects and to provide support to our UK and other international transportation highways operations.
The principal function of the Highways Design Engineer is to complete design works for various highway and general transportation infrastructure projects.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Technical responsibility for ensuring designs are delivered in accordance with current standards & best practices
  • Technical report delivery
  • Use highway proprietary design software such as MX, In Roads, AutoCAD and/or MicroDrainage. There may be occasions to use AutoCAD (Civil 3D)
  • Ensuring that design output includes appropriate risk assessment processes and compliance with enterprise integrated management system
  • Flexibility to work on international projects 


The minimum qualifications for this position are:
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:

 
  • Relevant accredited engineering degree at Masters level
  • Chartered status of an appropriate institution
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the area of Highways design, in particular a high level of knowledge in the use of Bentley MX and / or InRoads. Autodesk Civil 3D will be an advantage
  • The ability to assist with the delivery of other projects as required
  • Demonstrable experience of producing Specifications and Bills of Quantities.
  • An understanding of health and safety issues in relation to the design and construction of civil engineering works
  • Committed, self-motivated and organized


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the UK's codes, DMRB and MCHW would be an advantage
  • An understanding of BIM would be an advantage
