We are currently seeking a talented, experienced Analyser Technician to work as part of the Maintenance Team at ExxonMobil's Fawley Refinery.

The largest refinery in the UK, Fawley is a combined refining, lubricants and chemicals manufacturing site.

To be considered for a Maintenance position, the ideal candidate will need to be confident, conscientious, and able to work both on their own and as part of a team. We're seeking individuals able to demonstrate commitment to working to exacting standards, always paying rigorous attention to safety.

Preferably, prior experience would have been gained in the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industries. Experience in Process Engineering, power generation or work on a large industrial site would also be advantageous.

About the Analyser Technician Role

Analyser Technician candidates should have experience in Preventative Maintenance, Break-down repair and Calibration of online process analysers and associated equipment in the Petro-Chemical Industry.

Qualifications & Experience required
  • Qualified to appropriate HNC level (or equivalent), or a time served apprenticeship completed within the Petrochemical, Oil, Gas, Utilities or other Heavy Process Industry
Maintenance experience of the following is required;
  • Gas Chromatograph's - various manufacturers

  • Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems

  • Physical property analysers - Sulphur, Flash, Distillation, RVP, Cloud and Octane measurement)

  • Furnace/Process Oxygen Analysers

  • Fault finding and repair of Sample Handling Systems

  • PLC and data highway systems

Key attributes of the Analyser Technician
  • A High level of computer literacy with an aptitude to learn new systems

  • Ability to interpret and work from vendor manuals, drawing and P&IDs.

  • Excellent fault finding skills

  • An ability to write, review and follow detailed procedures

  • Familiarity with relevant Laboratory test methods

  • Work experience on electrical equipment in hazardous areas

  • CompEx certification is an advantage.
