  1. Asset Management spans a wide range of general management activities all directed toward the same goals: maximizing the profitability of the assets for the benefit of the Owner/Customer. The Asset Manager is integral to driving towards this goal.
  2. The Asset Manager shall have direct budget accountability, responsibility and authority (full P&L responsibility) in execution of the business and affairs of assigned wind/solar assets.
  3. Lead and 'own' the relationship with the Customer/Owner, including travel to and from the Customer locations for updates, discussions and future business development opportunities.
  4. Provide oversite of all direct service provider contractual relationships, including the Turbine OEM and BOP Operations service providers.
  5. Management of lender and tax equity relationships, in conjunction with the Finance organization.
  6. Ensure the preparation of project financial forecasts and cash flow models, in conjunction with the Finance organization.
  7. Conduct variance analysis of project performance and operational efficiency.
  8. Ensure compliance with all project contractual documents, including long terms power purchase agreements, power price hedges, and interconnection agreements.
  9. Manage stakeholder relationships with local, county, and state authorities, as well as landowners for leased properties, in conjunction with Land, Lease and Title organization.
  10. Provide execution oversight for regulatory compliance with respective agencies, such as FERC and NERC, and market compliance for independent system operators such as ERCOT, PJM, or MISO, in conjunction with the Regulatory Compliance organization.
  11. Manage, seek to understand and decide operations issues, in conjunction with the Operations Services organization.
  12. Negotiate contractual agreements with vendors and service providers for assets in order to minimize total operating cost.
  13. Seek out and execute on opportunities to increase the value of the asset
  14. Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  15. Foster a corporate culture that promotes the highest ethical practices and encourages individual integrity and responsibility.

  • At least 8 years of overall professional experience, with at least 4 years' experience in the North American wind and/or solar industry.
  • The ability to travel up to an estimated 30-60% of the time.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (i.e. engineering) and/or accounting/finance/business or a combination thereof of another quantitative discipline from an accredited institution is preferred. A relevant Master's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred (i.e. MBA).
Preference given for the following:
Previous experience managing energy assets. Exceptional analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in Excel. Good working knowledge of finance, accounting, and P&L statements/practices. Experience creating and managing budgets and performing financial modeling.  Good working knowledge and understanding of operations, maintenance and electrical systems, applicable to wind and/or solar power technology. Demonstrated leadership skills, problem solving capabilities and presentation skills. Ability to operate efficiently and seamlessly in a cross-functional environment. Customer relationship/management experience. Experience selling highly-customizable products or services.
