Full Time
  1. Manage all aspects of solar PV project development from greenfield origination to start of construction.
  2. Deliver value on a portfolio of utility-scale PV development assets through a combination of greenfield, mid-stage and late-stage development, project analysis, risk reduction, and deal origination. 
  3. Conduct due-diligence and analysis on new opportunities (acquisitions, partnerships).
  4. Secure site control through land scouting and negotiations of agreements with landowners.
  5. Lead entitlement process to secure use permits for projects.
  6. Manage interconnection process from selecting point of interconnection to interconnection agreement.
  7. Coordinate/Interface with engineering, legal, finance, procurement, construction, energy marketing and partnering as needed to ensure effective execution of assigned solar projects.
  8. Work with other groups regarding purchase of power, project proposals, project financial modeling, and arrangements for finance.
  9. Manage consultants, external stakeholders, and other third parties to ensure project success. 
  10. Manage budgets, milestones, schedules and deliverables for assigned development projects consistent with E.ON targets.
  11. Provide guidance to more junior members of the Development Team, as needed.

Solar & Energy Development / Interconnection Experience
  1. Proven energy project development experience (most preferably including utility scale Solar PV in CAISO and other areas in WECC).
  2. Demonstrated successful delivery of solar PV projects into construction phase and/or COD.
  3. Extensive knowledge of the full-cycle of utility-scale renewable power generation development and marketing. 
  4. Extensive knowledge of interconnection, permitting, real estate, state/federal regulation, utility procurement goals, policy, law and other issues that impact development of renewable energy projects. 
  5. Specific knowledge and experience managing full transmission interconnection process for energy projects.
Transactional / Finance / Negotiation Experience
  1. Extensive knowledge of the solar PV industry participants (potential partners) and stakeholders.
  2. Experience in negotiating and executing contracts, and managing counterparty relationships.
  3. Understanding of what makes a project financeable and ability to quickly identify risks and mitigation measures.
  4. Ability to manage numerous projects and relationships simultaneously including consultants, attorneys, and other third party vendors.
General Requirements
  1. Independent self-starter who can meet deadlines and deliver quality products with minimal oversight.
  2. Ability to work with multidisciplinary team in multiple E.ON locations.
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and software used to develop Solar PV projects.
  4. Willingness and availability to travel extensively (1-3 nights per week).
