Position Description
The Stage Sound and Audiovisual (AV) Supervisor leads all aspects of sound reinforcement and multimedia equipment for stage productions or special events, and supervises the stage sound and multimedia technicians in load-ins, setups, rehearsals, performances, strikes, and load-outs. This is a "hands-on" supervisory position that will require varied hours in an environment subject to change. The Stage Sound and AV Supervisor can be expected to operate the Center's production audio console during activities and special events. The Stage Sound and AV Supervisor must have a commitment to excellent theatrical show production values with a focus on safety.

Minimum Requirements
10 years of experience in the performing arts, special events, concerts, or the entertainment industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sound and Audiovisual Supervisor.
Experience in a variety of stage productions, including: orchestras, dance, opera, drama, concerts, special events, and corporate events.
Extensive experience with current entertainment industry audio control technology and video equipment.
Proficiency in configuring network systems used by stage audio and video equipment.
Ability to read and understand microphone input lists, stage plots, and video signal flow plots.
Supervisory and training skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Required to work at heights from elevating work platforms, ladders, catwalks and trusses.
International stage production touring experience is an advantage.
Will occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 20kg.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing the theatrical sound design and AV components for a production.
Properly documents Sound and AV plots.
Prepares a weekly sound and AV technician roster to ensure stage production needs are met.
Reviews production information in advance and advises of any necessary changes.
Operates the stage audio console and other theatrical AV equipment
Troubleshoot and find solutions to problems with sound and AV equipment.
Assists with the theatrical sound and AV equipment maintenance schedule.
Maintains inventory control of all theatrical stage audio and AV equipment and consumables.
Participate in special projects including offsite productions.
May be called upon to act as a Sound Designer for the Center's special events or productions.
Maintains a safe and efficient workplace for all staff.
Participates in all company required training classes.
Attends regular staff meetings as required.
Assist with additional production needs and duties as assigned.
