The Eastern Area Exploration Department is seeking a Consultant Geologist with strong a Petro Physical background to join their world class team.

The successful applicant will possess strong expertise in planning, supervision of data acquisition, quality control and interpretation of petro physical data using industry standard petro physical software such as Techlog and Geolog, with their various application modules and perform both deterministic and multi min analyses. Have experience of planning, preparing and supervision of logging operations and cost estimation operations. Be accustomed to providing accurate, reliable and timely petro physical solutions in support of the decision making process. Perform preliminary processing and analysis of all image logs for permeable horizons, fracturing and lithology. Be able to choose RFT pressures and fluid sampling locations; interpretation of pressures, mobility's and fluid recoveries into the CAT plot. Formation pressure data analysis for fluid type, contacts and pressure communication identification. Able to review Cement Bond Logs and advise all stakeholders on Cased Hole Testing design and probable outcomes. Experience to perform and be part of integrated studies utilizing logs, cores, geological, geophysical and production information (Saturation Height Modeling), planning, QC and integration of core data, including RCA and SCAL analysis in Petro physical and reservoir studies. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelors Degree in Geology, and 10-years' experience in exploring for hydrocarbon in clastic environments with a strong Petrophysical background.

Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be able to prepare coring programs and do technical evaluations of Coring and Core Analysis Bids. Have the experience to integrate conventional, and advanced core data analysis produced by computer-generated formation evaluation results. Expertise in using capillary pressure data in generation of saturation height functions. Expertise in rock typing and facies analysis using wire-line data. Be familiar with the rocks mechanics concepts, and have experience with cement evaluation VDL, CBL and USIT. Other duties include performing and supervising routine / special core analysis, integrate, and calibrate results with Petro Physical analysis. Candidates will have experience in processing and interpretation of image data, and be able to estimate absolute and fluid specific permeability's. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Accustomed to interfacing on multiple levels including sub-ordinates, peers, supervisors, venture partners. Fluent in English. Highly adaptable. Ability to work independently or in multi-disciplined integrated teams.
