CH2M's Water business is expanding its delivery capabilities in the New Delhi office to support the delivery of major water related projects throughout India and the Middle East region.
Our continued growth and development has led to an increased need for an experienced civil engineer to join our Engineering & Design team.
The team deals with a wide range of public, private and Industrial water sector clients.

Design of sewerage, storm water, potable water, firefighting and irrigation systems
Design of seawater intake/outfalls
Hydraulic design of pipelines and networks
Large diameter pipeline experience is an advantage
Preparing calculations, drawings and specifications.
Preparation of technical reports and tender documentation
Provide technical guidance and governance on quality of outputs produced by the team
Assisting with the preparation of bids and proposals
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, contractors and peers

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required. 
Minimum of 7 to 15 years of experience in a professional engineering (preferably water) position. 
Must have worked at least 7 years in a similar role, supervising and guiding a team of engineers and designers (drafters) working on the various aspects of pressurized water and gravity sewer conveyance systems. 
Thorough knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards applicable to the design of water and wastewater pipelines and structures. 
Experience with pumping stations and pump design is an advantage. 
Review and check work from others and ensure conformance to project requirements. 
Thorough knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards applicable to water and wastewater engineering and surface water supply systems. Working knowledge in the design and analysis of pressure and gravity networks including: 
  - Experience in the design of sanitary sewerage systems including lift stations and force (rising) mains. 
  - Experience in the design of storm water drainage systems, including pressure and gravity mains and pumping stations. 
  - Experience in the design of pressurized water / irrigation / fire-fighting networks including pumping stations.  Recent (within the last 3 years) experience with network modeling software such as MIKE URBAN, INFOWORKS, EPANET, WinDES, WaterCAD or other similar industry software.
Basic knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley InRoads or other similar tools. 
Experience in working with clients in the middle-east, north Africa (MENA), or other gulf countries preferred.
Periodic travel to MENA region client offices is expected.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills, essential for client interaction and daily communication with the team who may be in other offices. 
A personal dedication/ commitment to work and to meet deadlines while under pressure
In addition to the requirements above, the following would be advantageous:
Professional Engineer (north america), Chartered Engineer (UK) licenses/ status; or an equivalent certification.
Some prior experience working at a construction site.
A working knowledge and familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) systems.
Advanced degrees (MS, PhD, or other certification such as PMI).

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a professional civil/water Engineering position
Must have worked at least 10 years in a similar role, supervising and guiding a team of engineers & designers working on the various aspects contained with pressurized and gravity systems and conveyance systems

Candidates with relevant experience related to Water Distribution System will be preferred.
