Introduction Our client is an award winning engineering international firm of consultant engineers with office throughout Europe. They have an immediate need for an associate, to act as Project Leader on their structural engineering projects. You will be expected to travel occasionally to the offices across Europe. Responsibilities Working closely with clients, architects and other engineers as part of a dedicated and skilled team Excellent concept design skills. Expected to act as Project Leader on projects. Additional Duties *Proficient in structural analysis, as well as project based experience in 3D modelling *Knowledgeable of computer software such as RHINO3D, ROBOT, GRASSHOPPER, ETABS, REVIT etc *Overview design files and maintain to a high standard. Act as technical mentor to engineers within the office. *Overview the systems in place for engineering calculations and procedures *Ensure best practice at all times. *Monitor the preparation of calculations in conjunction with Quality Management System. Maintaining an informed position on all projects within the group. *Responsible for the independent design reviews, as per the QMS system. Management skills *Ability to communicate technical subjects *Required to implement total integrated techniques *Focus on technology based solutions, not hype *Desire and ability to innovate nationally in technological solutions The Person *Several years post-grad experience within an engineering design consultancy *Chartered Engineer with MIStructE/MICE Denmark Specification knowledge *Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Outlook. *Good communication skills *The candidate shall be fluent in written and spoken Danish (or Norwegian). | Preferred Experience: | 5-10 years | Position Type: | Permanent | Job Hours: | Full Time | Mandatory Requirement: National Residency or Valid Work Permit required: | No | Required for work/interview immediately: | Yes | Post Date: | 24/10/2012 | Expiration Date: | 23/11/2012 |
