Turbine Reliability Engineer

RES is looking to recruit an Engineer to strengthen the Reliability Engineering team due to the growth of the operational portfolio. The role will be based in Kings Langley.

The responsibilities of the role will include;
* Provide technical and engineering support to the Operations team across the group.
* Analyze operational data in order to report on the performance and condition of the operating assets
* Design and improve analytical models to monitor turbine operational behaviour
* Participate in major component failure investigations
* Manage reliability studies
* Liaise with in-house and external consultants
* Participate in turbine technology review for onshore turbines
* Support the development and management of the Reliability Engineering procedures and templates part of the Management of Engineering and Design


Candidates should have the following qualifications and capabilities:
* Master degree in Engineering, maths or physics
* Strong analytical skills - previous experience in data mining with the statistical software package or programming tool such as R, or MatLab
* Sound knowledge of wind turbine operation and its design would be beneficial
* Good understanding of typical failure modes, troubleshooting procedures and root cause analysis techniques
* Ability to manage several projects and high workloads with demanding timescales
* Ability to work as part of a team, both leading and as a key member, influencing decisions and reacting positively to challenges as the investigation/study evolve
* Excellent communication skills enabling effective discussion and transfer of information between areas of the business and turbine manufacturers
* Strong reporting and presentation skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office
* Current UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel in the UK and/or Europe
