Second Engineer

One of our clients is a leading international contractor specializing in dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects (oil, gas and wind). For this company we are currently looking for a Second Engineer

The position
As a Second Engineer, you will be responsible for the watch, for supervising one or more employees and you will accompany interns and trainees.

Other duties:
- Operating, maintaining and repairing the technical systems on board. You will be working on one of our modern vessels: a trailing suction hopper dredger, a cutter suction dredger, a fall pipe vessel or stone dumping vessel.
- Working worldwide in a two, four or six weeks schedule (weeks on duty outside Europe alternating with weeks of leave).

Requirements

- A secondary vocational or higher professional degree.
- A valid navigation licence bearing the qualification “Second Engineer all Ships” (STCW 95).
- Good command of the English language.
