HVDC Power Systems Engineer - HVDC - Winnipeg, Canada A Senior HVDC Power Systems Engineer is required by a world renowned consultancy looking to develop and build out their already highly technical teams. You will be based in Winnipeg, Canada but will be expected to travel on occasion to projects both internationally and within Canada. The successful candidate will be exceedingly self-motivated with a passion for working in highly technical environments. You will have built a reputation within your previous and present companies for engineering excellence not only on a team basis but individually as well. You will find yourself working with the Vice President of the Power Systems Group; facing off with clients and numerous sides of the business. Mentoring and the ability to provide technical advice is key and will be pivotal in providing guidance and technical advice to all levels of the business and clients alike. Technical knowledge will span Power Systems Studies through to FACTS and HVDC. Having a strong understanding of the application and the modelling of HVDC transmission, VSC, Static Var Compensators as well as extensive knowledge of equipment capabilities - e.g. transmission lines, transformers, cables, circuit breakers etc. Project experience on a global level is highly beneficial.
