Manager of HVDC Operations - HVDC - Calgary, Canada The Manager of HVDC Operations is required for one of Canada's leading regulated transmission companies. The role will see the successful candidate accountable to build and lead a dedicated team of HVDC specialist engineers and technologists responsible for the overall operational readiness and ongoing operation of one of Canada's largest HVDC systems. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of HVDC design, construction and commissioning alongside 3-5years of real-time operations experience. You will also have demonstrated your leadership ability having led teams previously either in a project management role or a similar operations manager role. Strong interpersonal skills and being able to face off with numerous sides of the business as well as clients is a key attribute. You will report into the VP working closely on fulfilling key operational roles whilst supporting the delivery of some of Canada's largest HVDC projects. You will also see your role leading and project managing asset integration plans for the HVDC systems into the company. You will also be the key influence in developing lifecycle and maintenance plans for the HVDC converter stations. In essence, this role is the opportunity for an experienced project manager to move into a senior management role. You will have complete autonomy in your team to build and develop key HVDC projects as well as expanding a team of distinct HVDC specialists.
