Business (project) Development Manager

A Renewable pioneer in the UK market with strong investment, backing and support are looking to recruit a Project Development Manager. The company focus is on producing energy from organic waste matter, Anaerobic Digestion, with a healthy pipeline and ambitious growth plans to create a network of Power Plants across the UK.

The role requires you to develop the projects in the pipeline managing them from initiation through to financial close and construction commencement at which point the engineering team would take ownership of the project

Main roles and responsibilities:

• You will take ownership of potential power station projects from initiation through to Investment Committee approval for construction.
• The Role will involve extensive relationship building and supplier management and development with key external stakeholders, site owners, planners.
• You will oversee the reviewing, sourcing and negotiations for available feedstock within the site vicinity.
• You will work across various teams internally to coordinate relationships, logistics, construction, grid connection and legal frameworks for the projects.
• You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with potential contracting partners before and once construction is underway.

Candidate Requirements:

• Waste industry knowledge - preference on Anaerobic Digestion
• Excellent project management commercial and relationship building skills
• Strong negotiation skills with experience of leading projects successfully
• Self-starter with drive to work on own initiative
