Position:Associate Director of Energy & Sustainability Salary:up to £50,000 Ref: 1208-32 Location:Redditch My client is one of the largest design companies offering BREEAM and sustainability advice; with design offices across the UK they provide internal and external support on all types of projects. As a member of the senior management team you will plan, manage, control and execute key sector business including the management of a team in providing professional services to external and internal clients. Will actively promote the business and engage in Business Development to secure both existing and new Clients' business. Main Tasks & Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role will include, but not be limited to: *Professional line management & leadership of Energy & Sustainability staff *Resource management of the Energy & Sustainability workload *Implementation of best practice in Energy & Sustainability *Delivery of commercial targets in Energy & Sustainability. *Liaising with Directors and other Associate Directors to share workload and resources as required. *Leading projects where appropriate. *To ensure the implementation and compliance of all Group policies, procedures and guidelines. *To lead on the delivery of quality assured, client focused products and services to meet the agreed requirements of the customer. *To contribute to the operation and development of the Business Management System to ensure the continuous improvement of quality assured services/products for clients. *To carry out other duties appropriate to the level and character of the post *Business Development will take up approximately 30% of your time Essential Skills & Qualifications required for this post: *Leading projects in the Private and Public sectors *Experience in the renewable energy sector with a strong technical knowledge *Ensuring an understanding of project briefs by the team *Experience with carbon management *Business development experience - client facing *Managing a team of professional staff *Developing relationships with clients in the Public and Private sectors *Commercial responsibility for an area of business *Delivering significant Energy & Sustainability projects *Must have experience in dealing with clients at establishment head level *Experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environment *Financial / P&L responsibility / make steps to control costs *Able to demonstrate business acumen If this position is of interest to you then please don't hesitate to contact me.
