Energy and Industrial Sustainability Consultant

A multi-disciplinary engineering and project management consultancy firm who operate in a number of sectors from Renewable Waste & Energy to Sustainability are seeking a Senior Engineer with consultancy and project managing experience to help drive the companys offering in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability programmes to its Food and Drink Sector Clients and design and manage associated renewable energy projects.

You will manage projects throughout their life cycle from consultancy, survey and application design to project commisioning, hand over and after sales support. 

Your role and responsabilities will include : production of engineering designs including: sizing calculations, block-flow diagrams, flowsheets, P&IDs, data sheets & schedules, layouts & associated drawings, and scope of work documents.

The role requires the successful management of supplier/contractor designs & manufacturing activities, works inspections/factory acceptance tests, and technical support of site works

Cost control over the project life span (compiling cost estimates, quotations, managing variations and cost to complete).

The Ideal candidate will have the following:

• Chemical / Mechanical Engineer - Degree or higher - with professional engineering status (chartered engineer) Candidates with HNC or above and relevant experience will be considered.
• Utilities/Media Expertise – experience of generation and distribution of utilities/media such as compressed air, heating, chilled water, refrigeration, and process water treatment (RO, carbon filtration, etc) ideally gained in one of the following sectors food, drinks, brewing, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, healthcare products.
• Business Development - ability to contribute to the development of the business (energy optimisation, renewable energy, sustainability, etc), or experience in commercial practice/contracts.
• Project Manasger - pro-active in managing their own professional development, will have a proven commercial outlook, understand the importance of quality and be able to lead and motivate a team
