1. DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
The Process Consultant is responsible for ensuring that the relevant objectives of the Concept Group and its Customers are performed to a satisfactory high standard and that specific work tasks are performed safely, effectively and in compliance with their specified objectives. In such, the Process Consultant shall be conversant in process and flow assurance and provide a technical focal point for the Customer, the rest of the Concept Group and other departments within Wood Group Frontier.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) The Process Consultant shall act as the centre of expertise within the Concept Group for all activities relating to production, process and flow assurance. In addition, the Process Consultant shall:
· Perform and manage concept & select study projects involving topsides and subsea process systems.
· Understand client requirements and be able to deliver concept solutions to the required level of engineering and definition
· Lead, develop, mentor and appraise junior personnel
· Complete quality work within budget and time scales
(ii) Assist as part of the business winning team to bring in work to the Concept Team, Wood Group Frontier and Wood Group as a whole.
· Generate business development material for use in marketing and tendering
· As part of a team, meet and engage with clients to present and offer services and develop business relationships
· Manage the generation and issue of proposals
· Seek opportunities for new and further work
(iii) Participate in recruitment activities
· Identify suitable applicants
· Interview and recommend suitable applicants
(iv) Application of company processes and procedures
· Assist in developing existing or generating new processes and procedures as required
· Ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures
(v) Any other duties as required and mutually agreed
3. AUTHORITY
Functional
· As consultant: for generating, checking and issuing project documents, company procedures, proposals and business development material
· As project manager for approving project documentation
Commercial
· As project manager, for approving project invoices
4. INTERFACES
External
· Customers
· Subcontractors (as required)

· Concept Team
· Other Internal Departments (as required/appropriate)
· Other WG companies (as required/appropriate)
5. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering with 15+ years experience. Should preferably possess:
· 10+ years in flow assurance and/or process analysis using OLGA, Hysys or PipeSim.
· Experienced in all aspects of flow assurance including multiphase analysis, HPHT systems, wax and hydrate management, artificial heating and artificial lift and chemical injection systems
· Experienced in facilities process equipment requirements at concept study level.
· Ability to understand and work across disciplines
· Dynamic character with innovative problem solving abilities
· Ability to lead, mentor and develop a team
· Strong business development skills
· Ideally with some operator experience
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Good organisational skills
