HSE&Q Manager reporting to the MD City of London based c£45k An established, reliable and pro-active company which manages and delivers bespoke technical, facilities and maintenance services seeks an established Health and Safety Manager. This role will report to the MD and work closely with the company senior management team, especially with the Operations Directors, to maintain and develop the company's health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures to compliment and maintain our current accreditations to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. This will include keeping up to date with all proposed and pending legislation and best practice and introducing any new procedures to meet such legislation and best practice. The Manager will carry out HSE&Q audits on all company contract sites and produce audit reports for operational management and liaise with line managers to resolve any issues. This is a 'hands on' role and the manager will chair and minute quarterly meetings of the company's SHE&Q committee and carry out competency assessments and internal training of all new engineering staff in accordance with the company's safe systems of work programme. The Person:- Must have formal qualifications in HSE, minimum NEBOSH and IOSH membership (not just subscription), and attended relevant HSE certificated training courses. Minimum of 5 years (ideally longer) experience in carrying out a similar HSE&Q role in a building services/maintenance/FM organisation and must understand and be familiar with mechanical, electrical and public health building services in commercial and industrial properties. Certificated auditor training for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 would be beneficial. 'Ideally' this role would suit a M&E Engineer with hands on experience in the industry and who has moved into HSE&Q to develop their career in this direction. The Company:- Predominantly a building services M&E maintenance company with associated project works, and some general FM soft services provided by subcontractors. Circa £10 million turnover per annum and growing, predominantly in central London and inside M25 orbital motorway.
