Senior Operations Engineer Aberdeen Competitive + Benefits The Background Our client is one of the largest independent crude oil and natural gas producers in the world. They seek with immediate effect a Senior Operations Engineer to be based at their offices in Aberdeen. As Senior Operations Engineer you will provide a high level of support to the onshore and offshore Operations and you will be periodically required to act as Operations Superintendent. The Role *Liaise with OIM's and Supervisors to provide support and direction to offshore operations in order to ensure continuity of Safe working conditions. *Co-ordinate offshore activities relating to hydrocarbon processing, water injection and utility systems in accordance with the clients Safety Management System and associated procedures to ensure they are carried out in a safe and effective manner and that environmental targets are met. *Liaise with offshore and onshore departments to secure sustainable opportunities to maximise platform production performance. *Liaise with and act as focal point for Offshore Production Supervisors. *Troubleshooting as required in support of the offshore maintenance, construction and production operations. *Co-ordinate the activities of offshore contractors, vendors and specialists and set their priorities and objectives prior to offshore visits. Liaise with such parties regarding technical issues. *Participate in HAZOPS and HAZIDS as required. *Participate in Incident investigations and prepare reports. Ensure all Synergi actions are investigated and closed out. *Take an active role in the preparation of platform planning and maintenance scheduling. *To monitor and control all hydrocarbon production, sub-sea structures/systems and utility systems on allocated platforms and act as primary focal point onshore. *Coordinate with OIM / Platform staff to plan for the start-up and integration of new projects *Assist the shutdown Superintendent with Turnaround planning execution *Carry out regular offshore visits. Participate in Audits and planned activity targets. *Communicate with and act as focal point for 3rd party entrants in respect of production operations. *Participate in Budget preparations and control. *Participate in support of information required by our regulators HSE and DECC. You You'll ideally be qualified to degree or equivalent level in an Engineering discipline with previous experience working offshore. You'll have an understanding of offshore production and utility systems and will be required to provide operational direction to offshore management and staff.
