A world leading specialist in automated heavy equipment is looking for three commissioning engineers, ideally with Siemens S7 experience (but this can be trained if proficient with other control systems packages). You'll work on automated equipment such as Stackers, Winches, Hoists and Cranes and other heavy automated lifting equipment. They have a prestigious project which you'll be involved with for the next two years and it would be a real addition to your CV. The company will be providing training for the first two-four weeks before you actively start commissioning. . After which time, you'll be ready to commission their equipment. In order to fulfil the duties of the commissioning engineer you'll: * Have knowledge of Siemens S7 or other PLC control systems * Drive Knowledge (ABB or/and Siemens preferably) * Able to follow test instructions and execute functional tests of the equipment * Have the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings * Be able to liaise with people at various levels of the engineering hierarchy * Understand Profibus / Ethernet There are three roles available for Commissioning Engineers but also a further two for Automation Engineers (spec is very similar). The start date proposed would be late August or early September to suit. The equipment has already been designed so you don't need to be able to programme from scratch but if you can it will prove an advantage to the project We have interview slots for Tuesday 17th with the client, please get in touch ASAP and we can organise an interview if the fit is right for both parties.
