Commissioning Engineer West Midlands Salary - £30,000 - £32,000 The Background This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to work for a leading business within the nuclear industry. As a Commissioning Engineer you'll execute commissioning activities to sure that there is an effective, efficient and safe transition through each commissioning phase through to plant handover. The Role *Execute all activities in line with current health and safety standards and procedures, to ensure that all safe working practices and appropriate risk assessments are complied with during Commissioning. *Ensure all testing activities are carried out in line with supporting documentation *Carry out testing activities in an efficient and timely manner *Completion of test documentation and reports associated with their specific test function. *Liaise with The Commissioning Team Leaders and Commissioning Manager Identifying faults and problem areas in an accurate and timely manner. *Maintain and promote safe working practices by wearing correct protective clothing and use of appropriate safety equipment. *Communicate technical information within own area of expertise to a wide variety of supporting functions through the use of reports etc. *Supervise Fitters in carrying out the remedial work during the commissioning stages. *Responsible for fault reporting and implementation and retesting of design modifications. You Ideally you'll be educated to a degree or HNC level or you'll have the equivalent relevant experience within a Commissioning Engineering discipline. You'll also have experience of high integrity industries, preferably Nuclear and you will have experience of commissioning within a process plant, including mechanical handling, hydraulics and associated PLC / SCADA control systems.
