Service Technician Wind £ Negotiable ASAP Scotland Purpose of the Job: Provide corrective & preventative maintenance services Responsibilities: Use of the Area Manager / Area Coordinator O&M / Service and Technical Coordinator UK, guidelines and support to gain knowledge of and to carry out corrective and preventative maintenance actions. Work to solve incidents/faults by communicating the situation and observations made while work is being undertaken. Manage external resources required to correct first level incidents. Regularly check on the performance of the machines during operation, so that possible problems can be detected in advance. Be familiar with the maintenance manuals for wind farms in the area. Be familiar and comply with the work-related health and safety and risk prevention plan. Be familiar and comply with quality procedures. Work as part of a small Team, team work. Provide out of hours on call cover. Use team manager's guidelines to gain knowledge of and carry out the preventive maintenance actions, if requested to do so. Complete Service reports and database systems to record daily activities carried out at the wind farm in which they take part directly, if requested to do so. Ensure that they have the right and necessary tools to carry out the assigned work. You: Ideally you'll be a time served apprentice within an Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic field or you'll have the equivalent experience in a relevant field. Ideally you'll have previous experience of working on Wind Farm's or Wind Turbines and you'll have had exposure to Health and Safety principles.
