Our subsea team is building an industry reputation for completing field development studies, conceptual designs and FEED of some of the most challenging projects including deepwater HP/HT development.

 

This ongoing success has created an exciting opportunity for a Lead Subsea Field Development Engineer within our team based in Aberdeen, Newcastle or South-east.

 

The Lead Subsea Field Development Engineer will be responsible for working with and leading teams of technical specialists to successfully deliver fully integrated multidisciplinary studies to the highest technical standards.

Responsibilities

 

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

 

Successfully delivering fully integrated multidisciplinary studies, development of conceptual designs for subsea facilities, including the preparation of preliminary operating philosophies

  • Ensuring the provision of efficient, high quality engineering and preparation of associated clear, concise, high quality reports.
  • Interfacing with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors when required.
  • Managing your own and others’ cost and time targets to deliver high quality consultancy services
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships Developing proposals and tendersContribution to strategy for field development engineering

 

Requirements

 

Suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • An engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in chemical or mechanical engineering, or similar.
  • Familiarity with field development drivers and optimisation (flexibility/operability/cost/ schedule/ risk/ reliability) of subsea facilities
  • Knowledge of relevant disciplines e.g. field architecture, flow assurance and operating philosophies, flowline design, subsea controls, installation, scheduling and cost estimating
  • Knowledge of relevant assurance technologies (e.g. HIPPS, Gas Lift, Subsea processing) and operating strategies for subsea systems.

 

Candidates should also possess the following personal skills/qualities:

 

  • Potential and desire to progress to Principal Consultant status and beyond A co-operative and helpful attitude to colleagues and clients Self-motivated, reliable, consistent and mature approach to work
  • Able to work independently and in small teams
  • Good presentation skills and the ability to interface with clients Ability to cope rapidly with challenging problems
