Electrical Project Engineer - HV Newcastle Salary: £35K - £40K DOE + Excellent Benefits We are urgently seeking an experienced HV Electrical Project Engineer to work for one of the world's biggest Technology Providers to the Power Generation sector. Working from their offices in Newcastle the Electrical Project Engineer will be a technical expert in HV (High Voltage) Distribution Systems, proving Technical Support to both staff and customers across their UK Asset Portfolio. To fulfil the requirements of the role the Electrical Project Engineer will be HND/Degree qualified (Or equivalent) in Electrical or Power Engineering. Having demonstrable expertise in High Voltage equipment typically associated with Transmission and Distribution Systems. Knowledge of High Voltage equipment up to 33KV will be required including expertise in Switchgear, Transformers, Cabling and much more. The Electrical Project Engineer will work as part of a central team responsible for providing technical support and implementing solutions associated with Maintenance and Operations of Plant and Warranty/Claims cases. This will include the collation and analysis of data associated with Plant Failures, Maintenance Issues and Engineering Best Practice and providing solutions to customers and internal Engineering Teams ensuring that new methods are implemented and communicated across the company. Other responsibilities will include:- o Support Service HQ in the Region. o Work as part of Service Engineering for implementing solutions for specific tasks. o Provide Technical support to O&M and participate in Technical meetings with customers. o Provide On-site support regards Engineering issues. o Act as link between UK & HQ on component related issues o Provide Technical support in customer related issues o Handling of Technical issues in the region in relation to component failures. o Support & Trouble shoot Engineering issues on New Projects o Provide data involved with regional warranty cases in cooperation with Claim/Warranty o Create reports on RCA for defective components. The role attracts a salary of between £35K - £40K depending on qualifications and experience, and will be accompanied by a very competitive benefits package.
