C&I Technician - Biomass CHP Up to £40,000 plus benefits Rothes, Scotland Helius CoRDe Ltd are currently in the process of building a state of the art Biomass Combined Heat and Power Station and Feedstock Processing Plant. The plant will process a minimum of 568,000 tonnes of by-product (daff and pot ale) produced from the whisky manufacturing process to produce 6.5 MWe of electricity, heat and high quality animal feed. This new plant will be built close to the village of Rothes in Moray, Scotland. Located on the banks of the River Spey this scenic area boasts good fishing, golf, hill walking and cycling. Not to mention its home to no less that 5 whisky distilleries. The Biomass CHP and Feedstock Processing Plant in increase staffing of the existing site by 25% and will create a significant amount of jobs in the local area and right now we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Technician to join the project. Reporting into the O&M Manager the Control and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities, responding to plant and equipment breakdowns both during normal working hours as well as outside normal working hours and ensuring the plant is operating safely and efficiently within environmental compliance. Candidates applying for this great opportunity should be qualified technicians/ engineers with practical experience maintaining PLC's, Control Systems, DCS, SCADA and Instrumentation on thermal power plants (biomass, CHP/ Cogeneration/ Combined Heat and Power, CCGT, Energy from Waste, Coal etc) utilising steam turbines, steam boilers and electrical generators. The salary on offer to the successful candidate will be up to £40,000 plus benefits exact details of which are still to be confirmed.
