My client is a leading light in the environmental industry with a presence throughout the whole of the UK and a fantastic reputation for providing their clients with an unrivalled level of expertise in creating environmentally friendly, efficient solutions to any problems. Due to an ever increasing workload and a growing reputation in the landscape industry this client requires a Senior Landscape Consultant to lead and grow the business unit. The role offers an unrivalled opportunity to progress and develop for the successful candidate in a culture where hard work and ambition are rewarded. The Senior Landscape Consultant will have the following 3 main responsibilities: *To deliver Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments on a range of renewable energy related EIA's including small to medium sized wind, solar PV and Anaerobic Digestion projects. *To mentor and line manage junior consultants on their pathway to Chartership. *To grow and develop the business unit and team nationally. The ideal candidate will have the following skills/expertise: - *A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. *Substantial experience in landscape consultancy, preferably in a commercial environment. *Be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. *Sound knowledge and experience of landscape planning. *Extensive experience of landscape and visual impact assessment. *Good knowledge of UK planning and development control procedures. *Proven track record of sales and winning landscape work. *Experience of providing expert witness and the planning appeal procedure. *Excellent project management skills with a demonstrable track record of delivering work on time and to budget. *Full UK driving licence. *Experience in EIA preparation and management. *Experience in the preparation of photomontages. *Knowledge of wind turbine and solar park planning. *Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, GIS This position is suitable for an existing Senior Consultant looking to gain further responsibilities and be given an opportunity for more ownership in their work or a high end consultant looking to take the next step.
