SENIOR GRID INTERFACE ENGINEER - NEWTON, POWYS - £35K -45K
THE ROLE:
The Senior Power Grid Interface Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that grid inverter systems for renewable energy applications are in meeting with the global and local technical standards necessary for successful grid interfacing.
By tracking and analysing existing standards and managing the certification process you will build upon your knowledge of requirements and standards for power grid connection from both a commercial and technical perspective.
Working with the strategic project team, you will contribute to the specification of new products (inverters, converters, generators and power systems) in order to meet both current and future requirements.
You will progress new product design from concept and modelling through to prototype, test and third party approval through to production.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate may have a BEng or MEng in Electrical, Electronic Engineering and/ or Power Systems Engineering.
This person may have a power electronics bias with practical experience of power electronics analysis and modelling at either system or component level.
Working knowledge of power grid interaction of inverters or generators.
Experience of power grid technologies, including gird tied inverter technical standards, conformance and certification requirements, and the management of approval testing.
